“Sponsored products related to this item” – yes those related products on a product page are Sponsored, were pretty much always available through Auto campaigns.
When you created a Product Search Auto campaign, you potentially showed up on both Search pages and Products pages. How these show up in reporting see here https://www.aidigitalcommerce.com/amazon-search-queries-what-are-those-b0xxxxx/
Whats NEW
Until now all the control was with Amazon. Now Amazon is putting more control in the advertisers hand. With the new campaigns you can target specific products and specific categories segmented by brands and price ranges.
Here is a NEW summary of campaign types.
Headline: mainly for branding and targeted by keyword.
Products Search Auto: This is for beginners and should be a transitional campaign, as you get your keywords they should be moved to your manual campaign. Targeted by products and should be grouped by like product and price range (products bidded together), can show up in Search OR Sponsored Related Products.
Product Search Manual: Shows up only in Search, targeted by keyword.
Product Search Manual – Products Targeting: Shows up in Sponsored Related Products and Product Display (not documented, but I saw it). Targeted by competitors ASIN.
Product Search Manual – Category Targeting: Shows up in Sponsored Related Products and Product Display (not documented, but I saw it), can also show up in Category search. Targeted by product and can be further refined by Brand or Price Range.
Good luck and happy advertising.
PS – what happened to AMS Product Display – I believe that it is going to way of the Dodo bird, let’s find out.
